Our organization functions entirely as a volunteer, not-for-profit organization, and so we rely on the generosity of the community to help fund our missions.
Equipment and supplies
We take only new, or nearly used equipment and supplies. The needs vary from wheelchairs and walkers to medications and toys, and depend upon the specific mission that we are working on.

Funding
We are always seeking contributions from businesses, groups, and individuals to support our efforts. Funds raised allow us to transport medical equipment and wheelchairs, training materials and medications, as well as approximately 50 rehabilitation professionals and support workers yearly. All volunteers use their vacation time and contribute personally to the fundraising efforts. We carry with us donated equipment such as therapy supplies, footwear, ambulation aids, medicines, prosthesis materials.
Since we have been working in Haiti, we have initiated programs to provide support for children with disabilities, allowing for their care, medical equipment, and schooling. These are children who reside at many of the orphanages where our team members provide teaching, training and care, enabling us to follow the progress of these very special children. We provide training to orphanage staff to assist in the children’s care and development.
Major contributors will be publicly acknowledged in press releases, media interviews and presentations. Tax receipts will be issued upon request. Major sponsors are those contributing $1000 or more. To date we have given over 80 media interviews and presentations, and have been featured on CBC Newsworld and Sunday Edition. Commemorative photos or artwork acknowledging contributors will be presented to major donors. In addition we will provide major contributors with an opportunity to have our team present project results to their group.

Team Canada can now accept online donations through CanadaHelps.org. CanadaHelps will process your credit card donation and issue you a receipt (in their name). The donor receives an immediate, secure PDF tax receipt, issued by CanadaHelps, by email. CanadaHelps then disburses the funds (less a credit card transaction fee) to Team Canada, along with any special requests associated with that gift, and in the manner the donor specified at checkout.
For either method of donation, you can specify a mission or purpose for your donation, including sponsoring a specific volunteer.
